[OrCAD PCB] Undo history constantly disappears

While working on our PCB designs, the undo history constantly clears out and we cannot undo changes recently made. 

It seems like every other command triggers this erasure, rendering the undo / redo functionality practically useless.

Is this a feature or bug?

  • The undo history can be changed from its default to zero. Go to "Setup User Preferences' You should see a box called "search for preferences" In the box type undo and click the search button. You should see two items returned.

    Look at the Undo_depth and see if a value was assigned to it. If the box is empty then the default will be 10 commands of undo. It's possible someone may have set a 0 in the box ?

    The values are set to their limits. And this seems to work as long as we avoid half the functions and tools of OrCAD PCB.

    Have you tried setting the values to something else ?. Maybe set everything to the default values and see how that does. Both boxes no entry, leave them blank. What ver of the SW are you running ?

    Yeah, we've tried different values, but to no avail.

    We have the latest hotfix installed on our 17.2-2016 install.

    Hi I'm thinking this may be a bug. Perhaps open a ticket with tech support and see what they say.
