Allegro PCB 17.4 Package Symbol Wizard Padstack Browser Preview Failed

Hi,

When I use Package Symbol Wizard to make a new package, there is a step to specify the padstack to use for the symbol. I can find all the padstacks but can't see it from the preview window as shown by the picture below. Is there something wrong with my configuration?

Nope, Allegro is unable to render padstacks in the "QuickView Screen of the package symbol wizard" It is the same in prior versions too, 16.6, 17.2.

If you click the Text box  option to the right of graphics it should give a text description of what the padstack is.

For something like a padstack I think the actual info of how the padstack is composed is helpful, though a graphic representation might be nice to have in-particular if the expectation of the user is to see the physical padstack.
That screen should probably be set to default to "Text" mode to save confusion.

    Hi excellon1,

Thanks for your information. I just wanted to make sure if there is something wrong with my settings.

As you mentioned since the default is Graphics maybe the team do want to show the graphical preview as a default.
