Why is my grid changing when I add connections or sliding connections in allegro 16.6?

Some little time ago I was editing a pcb layout and I deleted some tracks and I redrew them with a grid that I set to 0.1mm, at top layer.

Now, I don't know why, on bottom layer, when I click "add connect" or "slide", the grid points distance grows automatically. I have noticed that this only happens on bottom layer. I only have these problems when drawing bottom tracks.

When I go to setup grid I can see that grid stills 0.1mm, but grid distance on my project canvas is about 10mm (I saw that with "show mesure" tool).

So, now I'm unable to edit my bottom tracks because I can't draw them easily with this 10mm grid, following the path that I want.

Is this a bug? Why is the grid changing this way when I click "add connect" or "slide connect" tools and only on one of my project layers (bottom one)?

How can I solve this. I was drawing fine some days ago. Maybe some configuration parameter that I'm ignoring?

Hi, Check your user preferences for the grid settings. It should look like the pic below

Next go to your grid settings and change everything in every field to match your desired grid spacing.

In Allegro it is possible to have different grids for both Top & Bottom layers. It could be that one of your grid settings is not the same as the others. I have not seen what you describe. It is possible to do what you describe but that would be done using a macro and not by just clicking on add a connect.

If the problem still persists try changing the grid when you are routing on the bottom layer. The grid should change to whatever values you enter.

Thank you very much! It helps me a lot! I have not seen my BOTTOM layer field on the grid setup since I had 4 layers. I haven't seen the scroll button until now.

    This solved the question!
