Dynamic phase tolerance

Lock2002
Lock2002 over 5 years ago

This is the first time I've used the dynamic phase tolerance. I don't have the high speed option, but it does seem to be functioning although it doesn't seem consistent. Meaning I get violations on some pairs, but not on others that look very similar.

My tolerance is set to 15mil and max length is 0.

I thought I understood how it works, but perhaps not.

This image is directly under the driver.

Take a look at https://www.parallel-systems.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/diffpair_definition.pdf, page 11 should help. Also make sure your Driver pins are defined correctly. (you can turn these on from Setup - Design Parameters - display tab.

Hey Steve,  did you mean that I have to properly set the driver and receiver for each pin in order to properly use the dynamic phase function?  By the way, I can see the presudo line but I cannot see the D-Y DRC marker. what is the possible reason?

Could be that or you may simply have not got the DRC markers turned on, Make sure they are switched on in the Visibility pane
