Ugly new bug in 17.4 HF11

Watch out for HF11 there is a major bug in it

When doing a copy, if you select "oops" after placement and then type in an offset such as "ix -2000" it will add the amount of the previous location to the new offset.

For example, copy, select symbol, type "ix -2000" then select "oops" then "ix -3000".  Now, the symbol will be -5000 from its original location.  Oh yoi!

Tsk, tsk, tsk... it's getting worse by the release.

You can work around this by turning off the variable copy_autopaste  and turning on copy_no_autopaste

I will follow up internally on this for you - Barb Seeger - Cadence

While your reply addresses the issue from one perspective, it does not address the concept of "oops" which means, no I don't want that.  That feature is completely broken.  The definition of copy_no_autopaste is "

By default, the copy command will automatically invoke

the new Copy-Paste model where after selecting objects to
copy, command enters paste mode where users can use LMB
pick, window/group select pads/clines, or find by query
(i.e. paste to pins with gnd net). This option restores
the pre-17.4 copy model where user is limited to only
single pick at a time to place copied objects."

This says nowhere that "oops" causes the paste buffer to retain the mistaken input and add it to the next LMB.  That is is the fundamental broken part here.  Completely bad implementation that needs to be addressed.

You are correct -this is a bug that will be addressed with urgency. Oops  is not working with autopaste. I was giving you a temporary workaround.
