Exporting Film Area Report

KishanRaju

Hi All,

I exported the film area(Copper area) report from allegro 16.6. I am a little confused about the copper Area in Sq. Inches. The Board is ~13.2 sq. in. (110mm x 75mm). I am getting more copper areas than the board area. I’m not sure how some of the layers could have more than 13.2 sq. inches of copper. What is the copper area in the report referenced to?

Thanks

Kishan

Hi. Looking at the Report does it say Area: (sq IN)? or does it show the Sq Area in another Unit? Or does it show units in 'Sq Ft (feet)'? When I output my film area with the board in MM, it displays the area in Sq:CM (centimeters). Then I have to convert that to mm.

    Hi CadAce2K,

    Thanks for your response.

The report displays units in 'sq in'

and the board unit is in 'mils'

In report for some layer it is showing estimated copper to RKI percentage 250%.

    What is the RKI?
