How to change net name in PCB without rerouting

Is there a way to change net name in OrCAD PCB Designer 17+ without unrouting and rerouting the traces?

In Edit -> Net Properties, by right clicking the nets from the list, there is a Rename option but it's always inactive.

In earlier versions there was a command: editChangeNet, but it's no longer available.

Why bother changing?  If you bring in a new netlist with the existing routes that have not changed, Allegro will update the design and not rip up the copper.  Depending on the netlist update settings you can keep copper in place or remove it.  I would highly recommend against forcing a netlist change with logic-edit.  That will cause the schematic and brd file to go out of sync.
