Views background color. Orcad PCB Designer 17.4-S012

Hello everybody,

is any way to change the background colors for different views. Example:

for TOP view - black

SST+SMTview - white

and so on.

If the background is changed, the color is assigned to all views. How is possible to separate it?

Thanks

    u can use funckeys

the syntax for changing the background color to black is as follows:

    color -background "0x000000"

so u can combine this with funckeys

for instance, to display L1 in black, the funckey for pressing the "1" key is

    funckey 1 "QtSignal ColorVisibilityPane CVPGlobalVisOff clicked;QtSignal CVPLayerGrid CVPBoxAllL1 clicked true;color -background "0x000000""

to display L2 in red, the funckey for pressing the "2" key is

    funckey 2 "QtSignal ColorVisibilityPane CVPGlobalVisOff clicked;QtSignal CVPLayerGrid CVPBoxAllL2 clicked true;color -background "0xff0000""

u need to make sure that u assign some background color to all layers.

otherwise, the previous backgrond color would remain to the next one.

The best method is to use Color Views. Have a read of this:- Creating and Using Colour View Files (parallel-systems.co.uk) You can set the background color from Colors - Display tab

    Thanks you Steve,

I am also using such method. But how the Background Color could be changed?

For instance: the TOP layer with black background is saved. After loading of this view is the background color black. Afterwards the background changed to white in order to save the view with SST layer. But if TOP view will be load again the background is not black, but white.

So, I am looking for a method to save views, but with different backgrounds.

    Best regards
