Error - Shape to SMD Pin spacing

Sugreev

Hi,

I am using USB 3.1 type Micro B in my PCB designing. I am getting this error. I haven't made the footprint, I have downloaded it.

Can anyone help me to solve this error ?

Thanks in advance.

Difficult to see what the DRC errors are but if this is in the footprint file and not the board you will always see DRC's in a symbol. The shapes usually take on the netname of the pin once the part is used in a board and a netlist is loaded. If they are on the board I would need to see a closeup of the actual DRC error to comment further.

No, this is not in the footprint file. The DRC error is Shape to SMD Pin spacing error. It should be 5 mil but it is 0 mil.

I check the constraints, I have set them all to 5 mil. How to set Shape to SMD Pin spacing 5 mil ??

I am sorry I am new PCB designing. Can you please help me with this ??

With out know anything about your design, ver of software or your constraints, Question: Is this the same net?

Can you post a close up picture of one end of the connector where the DRC occurs? Is this shape covering the pin and it shouldn't? The shape could be static or dynamic. When adding a shape you have the choice. Dynamic will auto clear any objects that aren't part of the shape net, static won't you have to do this manually. As Wild has stated lots more info required.

I am using 17.4 version of the software and I have set 5 mil value for all values of constraints expect the Differential pair- primary gap - 40 mil.

I hope this helps you to solve my problem.

    Thanks
