How to update brd file footprint directly?

ichliebedich

Hi All

I got the brd file from other designer but some footprints omitted the Silkscreen data.

so I exported the libraries (pad, psm, dra) to add the Silkscreen data at current directory (.)

even though I modifed footprint data and refreshed, but the silkscreen was not added...

do I need to edit the path or some setting value?

You could try enabling Ignore Fixed (just in case) you also need to check the psmpath to make sure it can find your new footprint folder. Once the update completes take a look at the log file. This may explain what's going on

Verry strange: works well since... years

Do you check the symbol library path? Maybe it take it from ods location.

a show element on symbol should show you the directory used to find the symbol
