Use of Manufacturing / No_Probe_Top Class

vicvicvarunis

Hi All,

I have seen in some footprints that a shape is added to the Manufacturing / No_Probe_Top Class that has similar dimensions to the assembly class.

What is the use for this Class? When is it used?

Thanks

No_Probe_* subclasses are used to add testpoint keepout areas

Thanks David. These testpoints are the ones the fabhouse or assembly will place correct? Are not the 8mils round testpoints copper we add on the top and bottom layer

8mil round testpoints are smaller than anything I have used,

The smallest I have used is 0.5mm per http://www.agilent.com/see/beadprobe
