Allegro: Tip of the Week: Fixing/Unfixing elements in the design

You can easily add and remove the Fixed property from an object.

Fixing the location of a single element

Move the mouse over the element (symbol, via, etc.) and select the Fix command from the context-sensitive RMB menu.

Quickly unfixing several elements

There are two ways to achieve this depending on the scope of the command:

  1. Click the Unfix icon () and select an element or group of elements. This will effectively affect only the selected elements.
  2. Click the Unfix icon and right-click anywhere on the design. Select the Unfix All command from the context-sensitive RMB menu. This will delete the Fixed property from ALL the elements of the design regardless of any preselection.
