Orcad PCB designer Professional crashing

Hello!

I have had a reoccurring issue since I started working with OrCAD two years ago.

It seems that when OrCAD checks my license it sometimes freezes indefinitely until I close it down and get a windows popup telling me the program is not responding. I lose all unsaved work and have to restart our licence server to keep on working since the license manager tells me I still am using the license. I also sometimes get a popup from OrCAD that tells me I have no license and prompts me to save and exit or recheck my license. If I tell OrCAD to recheck the license it works every time. From what I've gathered my colleauges do not have this issue so it seems to be my computers fault and not our license server.

Has anyone observed these same issues and found a fix for this?

I am using OrCAD PCB designer 17.4 but had the same issue with 17.2. Using a windows 10 laptop.

Check to make sure you are running the latest hotfix version for 17.4-2019 which is S027 or 17.2-2016 S081. Look at Help - About which will tell you. You can get the latest versions using Download Manager. I'd also make sure you have a reliable connection to the license server.
