Allegro - Tip of the week: Sliding vias/clines freely into dynamic shapes

The “Ignore Dynamic Shapes in Etch Edit” variable, when enabled, will let you freely slide vias and clines into dynamic shapes. Without the variable, you will experience “jumpy” behavior at the boundary. This has been made a default behavior since 16.6. The variable is now available in the User Preferences Editor.

Have you ever changed the default value of this variable? In which scenarios do you see this as helpful? Share your experience below and let others learn from you too.
