Multiple-open design in PCB Editor

HI everybody,

I've just started using Allegro, and I find it strange, that any time I would like to open a second PCB design, the current design is closed. I would like to have multiple designs to open in order to inspect how challenges have been solved in another designs. Another scenario is if somebody comes to me and asks me to discuss a design, while I am working on another one. Is this possible? Is there a setting to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Zoltan

Every Allegro session requires a license, so you will need to purchase another license to open 2 designs at the same time...

I purchased an Orcad PCB Designer license to enable me to to this, my primary license is an Allegro PCB Designer

Another option would be to use allegro_free_viewer_classic instead, you can't change the design, but you can review it

I would not recommend using the allegro_free_viewer, it has a totally different menu & GUI layout ( which in my opinion is useless )

    Thanks for the explanation.

I wish Allegro would just open the second/third etc. designs in a read-only view, or at least it could have let me know through some message...
