Forcing a net on a via when routing

Fredda

If I have a via with no net attached, is it possible to automatically attach a net to it when routing a trace to it? That is, I want the via to become part of the net that I'm currently routing without having to manually assign a net to the via.

I believe if a via is of 'Dummy Net' it will inherit the net of any cline, shape or pad you connect it to in Allegro by default.

That's what I believed too, but it seems that's not the case unless I've changed some setting by mistake. Trying to connect to a 'Dummy Net' via:

Does in option tab "Buble" set to "off"?

If not, i guees the trace avoid the via. Try with "off" set.

I've tried with "Off" and while I can route the track across the via with this setting, the trace doesn't stick at the via and doesn't change net of the via,

In General Edit Mode hover over the via and right click - Assign net to via then pick the net you want to use from the Options Pane. You should then be able to route to it.
