Footprint edit from PCB Designer (or Capture CIS)

Hi,

I am wondering if there is any way of editing a symbols footprint by selecting the symbol  in a .brd file (or its equivalent in the schematic in Capture CIS). Of course I can can locate the .dra file and open it alongside PCB, but I always need a file browser to do so. Is there a more convenient way of doing this?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers
Philipp

There is a method using the Quick Symbol Edit command (Tools menu) but you need either the OrCAD or Allegro Productivity Toolbox to get this command (plus others). The alternative as you say is File - Open and browse for the symbol name,

Thanks for your reply, I may consider the toolbox - it's definitely good to know it exists!
