Allegro 3d Canvas: show only selected 3d Components in exported Step Model

Hi

I need a method/shortcut to show only the desired components on a PCB and also in exported Step Model using 3D Canvas.

As shown in picture below, every time i open 3d Canvas. I need to manually check out the components which I don't want to export in the Step Output.

This process takes a lot of time especially when there are a lot of components which do not need to be shown.

So, i need a method or script to do this automatically whenever from next time 3D Canvas is opened.

Run the allegro journal file thru the 'j2script' converter to generate a script, below is an example:

    j2script allegro.jrl test.scr

Then edit test.scr to remove remove everything after you changed the 3D canvas component visibility, then replay it the next time you this done...

Every time you run Allegro it saves a journal file containing all the commands, the default name is 'allegro.jrl' in the same folder as the design file

Instead of using the external command 'j2script' you can convert the current jrl file into a script using the following from the documentation:

Converting a .jrl File to a Script

    1. Run the script command.
      The Scripting dialog box appears.
    2. Click Generate.
      A file browser appears.
    3. Choose a journal file to convert, which then creates a file of the same name with .scr appended to it in the same directory as the source journal file. Once the layout editor generates the file, its name populates the Name text box.
