PCB Copy. Net not connected

Hello everybody,

I have a PCB (left) and I want to create a couple of copies.
In first I check Symbols, Vias, Clines, Shapes in the Object filter. Then RMB -> Copy. Check Retain Net on Vias and Retain net on shapes. PCB is on the cursor and could be placed (right).

The Problen is the Pads above are not connected to the GND shape.
Also the SKILL function "axlCopyObject" allows the retain Net only for VIAs, PINs are not supported.
Everybody knows how to copy the PCB retaining all connections?

Best regards

JuriV

    You can't do that...

When you copy a symbol it doesn't copy the associated component, so you need to place the related component & then swap it with the copied symbol

A copied symbol does not have any connections in the netlist.

If you don't have a related component as David suggested, I would change the shape to a static solid and then copy it.

    Hi Avant,
thanks or the reply. I would like to make some kind of panelize.
One schematic but more PCBs. I need more of the PCBs in order to change some of geometrical constructions e.g. VIAs, Slots, Holes, Planes.
My idea was to copy the existing PCB and then make the changes in the copied one.
Probably the Panelization is better way.

The PCB editor support panelization option. You can give a try on that.

Yes, I know. But I want to change something in The PCBs. E.g. add GND Vias, GND Shapes etc.
The schematic is the the same, but I want to know if some of VIAs (stitching), shapes affect the HF behavior.
After the panelization the additing is not easy
