Can I design a PCB with different outline at each layer?

I would like to make a small board with different outline at each layer. The board will have a half cut off in the middle, then I will place some components in the middle layer.  I am wondering does Allegro PCB Editor support this function?

If not, what should I use to make this type of PCB?

The prefered layer on which you are supposed to draw your board outline is Board_Geometry/Design_Outline. This subclass is "global", it is not layer dependent.

But you can create as many subclasses as you want and arrange your gerber exports as you please. You could create a Board_Geometry/Design_Outline_Layer_2 if you want, and you could add it to your layer 2 gerber export, for example.

But I would be curious to hear what your manufacturing house has to say about this idea, I've never heard of anything like that. Couldn't you manage to do something similar by designing 3 boards and somehow bond them on top of each other ?
