Creating a Fillet from a Line and a Shape (Circle)

raysch

I'm struggling with trying to add a fillet where the line meets the circle so I can turn this into my design_outline.

The line is an 'Outline' under 'Drawing Format'  and the arc is a 'Construction' under 'Drawing Format'.

When I try to add a fillet here, it won't let me select the arc. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Hi Here is an example of how to create a board-outline based on your picture above. If you need additional details or want to modify let me know.

1 Setup your grid first as we will be drawing lines.it is important to snap those lines to the grid.  The lines are drawn on the "Board Geometry: Assembly_Detail Layer.

2 In figure 1 start to draw the lines in.

3 in figure 2 choose "add a 3 point arc". Where the arrow is click the end of the line and draw a line downwards to the bottom line, click, then drag right to form the circle.

4 To create a board outline from this go to Shape > Compose a shape. In the options pane check use auto gap and delete unconnected lines. For the active class
choose "Board Geometry" , for the sub class choose outline or board outline.

5 Draw a window around the lines to create the shape for the board outline.

Note if the shape fails to compose correctly it is because the lines in the drawing have small gaps where they join. Make sure the lines are touching to fix this.
