Coil Designer Error

Hello All,

I was using the Coil Designer with no issues.  Now, it is giving me an error when I try to use the feature.

*Error* parseString: argument #1 should be either a string or a symbol (type template = "SSg") - nil

Once I got the error message, I decided to try it out on the design file a few days before and had no issues.  The only main change I did on the design is reducing the layer count.  I assume that this is what caused the problem.

Anybody encountered this issue?  And hopefully found a solution?

thanks,

    Try this solution:

Saving and reloading the film records may resolve the problem.

    1. To save the film records

       a. Select Manufacture > Artwork - Film Control tab

       b. Select all film records

       c. Right Mouse Button and choose "Save All Checked"

    2. To load the film records

       a. Select Manufacture > Artwork - Film Control tab

       b. Click on 'Load...'

       c. Select 'FILM_SETUP.txt' file

If the issue persists, you will have to delete and recreate the film records.

Thank you for your suggestion.  I had to get the board out and I just created the coil pattern on the design file that didn't have any issues.  From there, I exported the subdrawing and placed it in the current design file.  Once I did that, I didn't run into anymore issues.
