Cline Void Shape Clearance

Shannonlee

I drew a Cline between two SMD pins . When I try to place a shape over this area, I get a DRC error saying "Line to Shape Spacing".  How do you set the clearance around the Cline so that the shape voids the necessary spacing around that Cline so they don't short together? Thank you!

    Hello Shannonlee,

I'm assuming you're trying to create Spacing CSet to between Line and Shape.

    1. Open Constraint Manager (Setup -> Constraints -> Constraint Manager).

    2. Select Spacing in worksheet selector -> Spacing Constraint Set -> All Layers.

    3. Right Click on design and Select Create -> Spacing CSet and rename it.

    4. Select Line To -> Shape column and enter the clearance value you need.

    5. Select Net from Worksheet Selector in Spacing.

    6. Drag down the CSet you created for the net you need the clearance. You should see the clearance value.

Check out below screenshots for better understanding.

    Thank you.
