Assume, You have created Net class in Electrical constriant, you have to set the constriants with in the electrical constriants set.

Assume, you have created Netgroup in electrical constriant, This can be used with Electical, Physical, Spacing, Same net spacing constriants sets.

here are the screenshots. I have created  Net-class as 'TEST' and 'NG2' as a Net-group, TEST stays in  with electrical constraints set only but NG2 will have it physical, spacing and other constraints set as well.

now i moved to physical constriants set, we can set physical constraints for NG2 net group, here is the image.

Net group can be member of net class but net class cannot be a member of netgroup because net class is local and netgroup is global. Net classes is applicable when you have a specific requirements to the nets.

Please refer below article for more differences.

    Hi aniju

    Thanks for the reply...

I got a basic understanding of the calss and groups.

According to what I understand, the net group needs to be included within the net class.

Kindly correct me if I'm mistaken!

its not always netgroup should be included in the netclass, if you have specific requriements to those nets, you may include it in the netclass.
