Lock PCB footprints entities

Hi,
We use to receive PCB footprints from our part creation team but different entities (like route and via keep-out, lines on silk screen and designator) of footprint use to be not locked.

Is there a way to lock the footprint entities to avoid deletion of any entity of footprint?

Note: Please note my query is not related to position lock of footprint in PCB. It's about locking the footprint so any entity of footprint does not delete while we remove something else on layout.

Hi ,

You need to add Locked property at Drawing level in the symbol editor .

Edit property -> Find by name select Drawing and add Locked property .

DBTCH Thanks for your response. Is it something can only be done In library only? As I don't have access to library so am wondering if there is a way to do it in layout?

Unfortunately, this has to be done in the library and footprint by footprint .

I You can just add the LOCKED property to each symbol within the design.

Edit properties for the symbol(s). Add Locked. Should be that simple I think
