Step mapping Issue

ECY
ECY over 1 year ago

I have issue aligning the 3D file to the exact location of the actual component boundary on the PCB. When I link the component's 3D file to the symbol, I could see a huge displacement of the 3D file from the actual component on the PCB.

I am not able to align them properly. Any suggestion pl to solve this issue? Screenshot attached for reference. Note: Orcad PCB STd ver 22.1.

Thanks

Hi ECY. Can you confirm to me that the step file you're trying to import does not have the origin that far from the actual 3D model? If you need further assistance, let me know and I'll contact you via email so we can work directly with your files.
