Converting .MAX file to .BRD File issue

Hello,

I'm trying to convert a max file into a brd file, currently running v22.10.006.
An error message pops up saying "....filename.log' does not exist."

I've used this method (Import -> CAD Translators -> OrCAD Layout) before using v17.4 of the cadence tool.
For some reason, with the latest version, it requires a log file that I've never needed before.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Is there any error code associated with this message? Please also confirm if you have the opportunity to regenerate this .MAX file. It would be prudent to run a database clean-up  (Auto -> Clean Up). Also, check for split planes and try converting these plane layers to routing layers.

No error code is associated with this message.
Unfortunately I don't have access to the legacy software used to regenerate this file. the earliest version I have access to is Allegro PCB Editor 16.6.

Hi BTerry, apologies for not seeing your comment earlier. My understanding is that the user managed to get this to work by themselves. I requested more details but haven't heard back. If you could send me this design I could attempt the conversion for you if you could supply your email address for this.

Hi BTerry, in fact I have already sent you a friendship request to enable us to exchange files. Please check and accept in order to work on this further together.

Hi BTerry, apologies for the late reply. I ended up moving the files into a folder with a proper structure and somehow that fixed the issue.

It's possible that something in the previous folder was corrupted or not seen properly is my guess. Let me know if that works for you!

    Hi,

I have the exact same issue as BTerry with the missing filename.log.

Has there been found a method to solve the issue?

    best regards
