Waived DRC

Hello,

I would waived a DRC error on the design with or without a comment. But once I "Update DRC", it keeps on coming back. Also, as an example, once I "Update DRC", the errors shows "0", which is good. Without closing the Status window, I will "Update DRC" again and more errors shows up (lets say 5). Without closing the window again, I will "Update DRC" again and the number of errors changes again. It is a random quantity and I believe it has something to do with the "Waived DRC errors".

Has anyone encountered this issue? This came from a previous design database so I'm not sure if it was a setting issue somewhere.

There has been a very rare issue with this in the past. The waived DRCs are handled by internal methods that have changed over time and this can cause what you are seeing. The "cure" is to make a note of the currently waived DRCs, restore all the waived DRCs, save the BRD file, and waive the DRCs again.

Allegro PCB Venture 17.4 S034. I'm not seeing this on other designs. It is just this one particular file that was generated from a previous design. The previous design also had the same issue.
