different command window and function

1.

2.

When I lunch the program for the first time,  I can see like the first picture , and the next time I run it, I can see it in the shme shape as the second pictures..

I don't know why?

For example
(funkey or alias) mv     command is set
In the first program, mv works properly.
In the second program, v is typed after m function operation (the mouse is located on the design screen).
I usually use the second program.

How can I use multi-letter shortcuts like the command function of the 1st program?
And can you tell me why different screens come up when I run the same program?

Hello heidi099, which version of the software you are using?

From the screenshot I understand that you are launching PCB Editor from Project Manager. When you say you launch 2nd time, does that mean you close the porject manager and launches it again and it shows as the second screenshot?

    I'm using 17.2
Yes. As soon as I turn on my computer, when I start the program, it launch as 1st screenshot. When I close it and start the program again, it shows up as a 2nd screenshot.
When I close and reopen the pcb layout program in 1st screenshot, it appears as a command window program in the 2nd screenshot.

I need to access the company's network to access the license.
So I'm guessing that the Project Manager window is something else...

I want to know how can I use multi-letter shortcuts like the command function of the 1st program?

Hi heidi099 , For the Project Manager, it looks like you have some site level setting and it is taking the view from different location. You can check where this is coming from by typing set cds in your windows command prompt.

For the Allegro, there is no special way of defining multi charater funkey, the tools support groupings of up to four alpha-numeric character keys for operation as a function alias.

Syntax is to type funckey, a user-defined name up to four alphanumeric characters, and the command string to which you are applying the funckey command.

    funckey <user-defined name> <command(s)>

The command window in 2nd screenshot is the old command window and I tried at my end and it does support multi letter funckeys.
I think this requires more debugging, I have emailed you separately to discuss this further.
