How can you select an object below another object?

Let's say I have a few objects overlapping, for example, traces on different layers, or place bound and DFA bound. I may run into a situation where I want to move or select one object object, but when I click it selects the other object in that same location.

How can I select the other objects? I've noticed that I can tab through all the objects at that location, but when I click to move or select the object, it always selects the first object, regardless of what I am currently tabbed to.

Try selecting the "Active Class and Subclass" in Options Tab prior to performing an Allegro action.

u can use a tab key when u hover ur mouse the overlapped objects. then u selct the object, then do the move command.

u can do the move command, then select a tab key to select the object as well.

Hey masamas. This was the behavior I expected, but it wasn't working. When I select move, then tab to a different item, it still always selects the top one, regardless of what I am tabbed to.

However, I tried the other way you mentioned, of selecting the item first and then selecting move next. That appears to work correctly, so this will definitely be useful. Thank you!

Do you think it's a bug that it doesn't work with the move command selected first? Is that really working for you?

Thanks, this worked!! At least this way I can select from a list. I still wish the Tab method worked because it is just a hotkey.
