In v17.2 it works this way but not sure if it's any different in v17.4.

    1. Get your logo in BMP format.

    2. Have a blank footprint open presuming you want to get it into a footprint that can be re-used.

    3. Choose <FILE> <IMPORT><LOGO>

    4. Set the appropriate class and sub-class you want to place it on and scaling factor at the dialog box.

    5. When it comes in it will be hollow shapes for each piece of the graphic. Next use <SHAPE>< COMPOSE SHAPE> to make each part a solid fill.

You can import it several times with different scaling factors so you can have a selection of footprints to draw from depending on how much space each board has to incorporate it. The alternate is to just have one version, and then scale it in the PCB with the Graser add-on app called 'Scale Logo Symbol'.

You have a couple options. At the Logo Import window you have the option to set the scaling factor.

If you don't like the results of this, you can keep the original size and bring it into your PCB designs. Install the GraserWARE Scale Logo Symbol add-on available on the EMA website:

    https://www.ema-eda.com/store/pcb-store/page/3/

Once installed it will show up in your menu bar under "My Apps". I turn all layers off except the silkscreen layer where the logo resides. With the 'Symbols' filter turned on I pick the logo and then you get this dialog making it really easy to scale as required.

I use this app all the time and it does a great job of scaling our logo. I can customize the size while maintaining the aspect ratio to fit whatever board I want.

There is a free app available from EMA (Cadence Channel Partner) that will scale the symbols for you in a design. Take a look at Download the GraserWARE Scale Logo Symbol App - OrCAD Software Apps and Extensions | EMA Store (ema-eda.com)
