allegro PCB designer crazy panning

From time to time I need to review or make some minor board changes with Allegro (I'm a chip designer so live in Virtuoso land).  Panning is just driving me nuts.  There are two main issues and I'm hoping I can just configure something to fix both.  I'm using middle mouse button, click/drag to try and pan.  The arrow keys work but not very ergonomically.

1.  The direction is the opposite of what feels good.  I'd like it to feel like I'm moving the layout with the mouse but instead it feels like I'm moving a viewing window so drag left moves left on the board and visually the board moves to the right.

2.  The panning is hypersensitive.  I pan just a tiny bit and the layout is all the way off the screen.  This makes it basically unusable.

Thanks

-Dan

Can you try using Setup>User Preferences...

    to enable UI>Input>designhdl_pan

to see if that works more like the IC tools?

Thank you so much.  This has been driving me crazy!  Not only did this make panning go in what feels like a more natural direction but it also slowed panning to a usable speed.
