How to choose different footprint in Allegro X PCB Designer Plus?

Hi All,
I have a component in library which has 1 symbol and 2 footprints. Footprint 1 has a Through hole pad and Footprint 2 has extra NPTH through pad in addition to plated through hole pad. Symbol has only one pin.

I want to use the footprint the one with additional NPTH pad (footprint 2) but when I update layout it always comes with the first option of footprint (footprint 1) which has only one plated through hole pad, as shown in below screenshot.

How can I change the footprint and chose the one I desire to use in PCB layout.

Thank you

Hi Arsalan1001. Do you have a database you access to control what footprint goes with what schematic symbol? For example, we use CIP as the front end GUI for an SQL database. In there (or any other front end you might be using), it's as simple as having both footprints listed in the footprint field and comma separated as shown here (as you can see the order they are placed in the field controls the order in the pull-down list below):

In Capture CIS Explorer the two parts show up in a pull-down list that you can choose which one to use at the schematic design stage. This makes the decision available to the schematic designer and forces the use of appropriate footprint to the PCB designer as only the selected one is put in the netlist and gets to the PCB.

If you want the footprint choice to be available to the PCB designer, you can make use of the ALT_SYMBOLS field to enter the 2nd footprint option and it can be chosen directly in the PCB tool.

There are likely other ways to go about this, but this is a working example.
