ODB++ Output from Allegro/PCB-Editor: How to set ODB content?

Forum,

(Yes I know... ODB is not the Cadence preferred format but the board manufacturer does not accept IPC2581)

Trying to use ODB++ as required by a board manufacturer, I discovered that the content in the ODB viewer as well as the "Finished product Preview" did include both "ASSEMBLY_TOP" as well as "SILKSCREEN_TOP" as ODB-layers "sst" and "sst+1". This on the silk screen layer.

I have tried omitting the assembly data from the artwork canvas as well as the "domain selection" in the Cadence export menus. I have opened the "Extenden menus" in the ODB++ output canvas, and from there omit the ASSY layer, redefine it as "misc", redefined the ODB data such as FAB, MISC, etc. but to no avail. It seems that the extraction process captures both ASSY and SILK and combines them which shows up when using the board manufacturers viewer.

Possibly, the output matrix in the ODB routine is locked for the limited version that Siemens supplies (Version 2409, that is the last release found). Even though the data/content can to some extent be manipulated, there are no changes in the generated output.

There are no easily found editable settings in the PCB-editor, nor any .INI or .CFG file in the \Mentor..... folder where the ODB routine gets installed. At least none that I dare to experiment with.

The ODB data format was originally used by the Valor Genesis 2000 fabrication tools use by fab houses,

In 1995 it was upgraded to ODB++ to include component data to support the Valor Enterprise 3000 design-for-manufacturing (DFM) analysis solution,

In the late 1990's the format was upgraded to support the Valor Trilogy 5000 solution.

The same data set  could by used by any of these tools, so data not needed in given domain was just ignored...
