When I am updating the libraries to the PCB layout some of the rat nets are reappearing as if the connections between the pad of the footprint and nets are ripped off.

Dear Community,

I am encountering an issue with a PCB layout where the components are placed, routing is completed, and there are no rat nets visible. However, after updating the libraries for the entire PCB board layout, I notice that some rat nets have appeared and are visible in the design.

The connections between the pads of the footprints and the nets are intact and not ripped off, yet these rat nets are showing up between them.

Could someone help me understand the possible reasons behind this behavior? Are there any specific settings or options I should enable before importing the updated libraries to avoid this issue?

I would appreciate any insights or solutions, as this is a time-sensitive matter.

Regards,
Rohit Rohan

The footprints that have been updated may be designed in different units (mm,mils,cm etc) and this can sometimes cause small rounding issues if the board file uses different units. There is a command Tools - Derive connectvity that once run will resolve most (if not all) of these connections.
