converting .mcm file to .brd file

hello:

is there a way to convert a .mcm file to a .brd file?

MCM databases are no longer allowed to be opened directly within the Allegro X PCB design products. The same is true in the reverse, (*.brd) files may not be opened by the Allegro X APD/APD+/APD/SiP IC Packaging tools.

Most of the functions available are related to Viewer only like color Visibility, Show Element etc.

These are now different types of databases, with different internal constructs, data organizations, and rules (implied and explicit)

thank u for ur response.

r u saying we can not convert mcm files to brd files on 23.1 but we can do it on 17.4?

Hi Masa,

Yes, the conversion of MCM files to BRD files is no longer supported starting from version 23.1.

After consulting with experts and conducting a thorough review, I have confirmed that the requested functionality is not feasible in version 17.4 either.
