How to place the PCB footprint based on the outline in the imported DXF file board outline

Dear Community,

I have imported a DXF file into my PCB design tool, which includes the board geometry outline. Within the PCB layout, there are reference outlines that indicate the areas where certain PCB footprints need to be placed. However, the challenge is that these reference outlines are not aligned to standard angles like 45° or 90°; instead, they have non-standard angles such as 33.3338° or 49.58888°, as illustrated in the mock image below (created in Paint for confidentiality reasons).

I would like to place the PCB footprints to match these reference outlines. Is there a way to automate this process so the footprints conform to the shape and align properly? Alternatively, are there any effective manual techniques or workflows to achieve this with precision?

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could share the steps or procedures to address this issue. Any insights or tips are welcome!

    The most automated method would be to use either IDX or MCADX to imporr the data. You can assign refdes to the parts in Solidworks (MCAD) and place them at the required angles them import this into Allegro and they will adhere to the rotations. If that isn't possible then place the parts at any angle then export a placement file. You can then edit the placement file to set the rotations and import the placement file back in. Something also to bear in mind is that a pick and place machine may not place at such a precise angle, it may be limited to one/no decimal places so check with the assembly team to ensure that those angles can be adhered to.
