Very Slow File manager updates - Allegro Windows 10 install

I have an issue that came up with Allegro PCB Editor and Capture CIS file browser. When using the File Open dialog box any directory browsing is extremely slow. Double clicking on a directory requires a 30 second wait before the tool is responsive. Selecting file types is the same. I have selected/deselected Change Directory option with no impact. This was working OK a short time ago.

No other Windows apps experience this issue. I have tried reinstalling 17.4 and 2022, rebooting and it is persistent. I have disabled Windows File Indexing, no impact.

I don't understand what is different about the Cadence file manager from everything else in Windows to understand where to further troubleshoot.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

With the new file dialog browser in Allegro PCB Editor, this UI has latency observed in some of systems when accessing the files from network at site level.
You can go to Setup>User Preferences>UI>Browse and set the variable 'new_filedialog_disable' to restore the old file browser window.

Setting this variable minimizes this latency and improves the speed (to few milli seconds). Maybe you can enable this variable in your machine and check if this helps.
