How to split the etch plane with same net name

RohitRohan
RohitRohan 7 months ago

Hai Community,

I have a PCB board where the bottom layer is defined as a GND plane. I would like to split this plane into two separate sections while keeping both sections assigned to the same net name (GND).

Could anyone please suggest the best method to achieve this? I am looking for guidance on how to effectively split the plane while ensuring proper electrical performance and connectivity.

Your valuable suggestions and insights would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Rohit Rohan

One other way i already use with sucess: use two shapes. On one shape add property "VOID_SAME_NET".

With it, shapes does not connect even if connected to same net. Use shape priority to set the one to be voided.

Use a cline if you whish to connect shapes at one pint on same layer
