Forum,

When I make some mistake, Allegro plays a sound in my loudspeakers.

I can live with it but I would v e r y much know which one of the Windows built-in definitions that Cadence is using.

I intend to change it to something shorter, as there are many to choose from...

    Hi Ulf,

Regarding the sound issue, please note that it is not controlled by our tool. The sound is generated by system functions that are called by the tool. If you would like to disable or change the sound, you will need to adjust your system's sound settings.

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Go to your PC's settings and navigate to Sound > Advanced sound > More sound settings.
    2. In the Sound window, click on the "Sounds" tab.
    3. Under "Program Events", select "Default Beep" and choose your preferred sound from the dropdown menu. (See the attached snapshot for reference.)
    4. Click "Apply" and "OK" to save your changes.

    This should resolve the issue.
