Taking too long to load step files in 3D environment

Hello, 
 When I click "Browse" to load STEP files from either my local drive or a shared network drive , it takes an unusually long time to respond and list files. 
 Similarly, saving file also results in long delays. 
 I'm using OrCAD X Professional version 23.1 with the S008 hotfix. 
 Is anyone else facing this? Any tips to fix this

If it's a network location, there's not much that can be done ... test with a local file and if it works fine, then it is up to your network set up, which is very difficult to address for anyone by yourself.
