Please try this: https://www.cadence.com/ko_KR/home/tools/pcb-design-and-analysis/allegro-downloads-contact.html or https://www.cadence.com/en_US/home/tools/pcb-design-and-analysis/allegro-downloads-contact.html Enter your basic details into the form provided. Make sure to select the free viewer checkbox in the selection of Allegro Free Downloads. Click Submit and the download should start.

John, none of this is a very good advertisement for Cadence. Everyone who needs your viewer is a potential new customer, and this is a big problem for all of us, and embarrassing for Cadence, that your shiny new viewer can't read any old files, which are being shared with us by your current customers! Bad for all. I too, need to use 16.6, it seems, to open the board files shared by Microchip for their Polarfire boards. Your 1GB (!) download won't open it, bombing that I need the old version. Your links below lead to a place that forces us to register, and then loops endlessly either asking for our info again and again, or download the latest. Can you please, please post the old versions in an obvious place (e.g., <support><downloads><old versions>) so everybody can get productive again? Thanks in advance!

Apologies but it seems that old links have now all been updated since they were tested here previously. Please know that All newer software versions of the PCB Editor currently support the 16.6 pcb databases using an uprev feature provided with the tool installation. Please look for DBDoctor_ui in your latest PCB Editor version. The old freeviewer is no longer maintained. The newest pcb viewer is available to download and use for free. Only the latest freeveiwer version will be maintained by our software team. We have requested for this internally but the answer is that only one freeviewer will be made available in future.

Using a Cadence support case, we could provide you with a download for the old installer if necessary. If you have any users with login access to support.cadence.com or ask.cadence.com, then I would recommend they request this via a cadence support case or request from your regional tool provider. Alternatively, users should uprev the board file using later versions of the tool which can be installed from downloads.cadence.com.

We are currently not able to provide old tool installer downloads directly on this community site and would advise caution to any users following links on open forums. Links on this forum are generally redacted automatically by the site security system.

Hi MC, hoping this message finds you well. As stated above. Contact your OrCAD X or Allegro X tool provider (or a friend who has a support account) and ask them for this old viewer installer. Otherwise install a more recent PCB tool version and upgrade the old brd file.
