Where to download the allegro_free_viewer_classic.exe for PCBEditorViewer_24.1?

Hi, I downloaded the PCBEditorViewer_24.1, but I can't seem to accurately measure between pads, vias, space, etc. It seems that people can do better and measure more accurately on the classic version, as well as the 24.1 version. How can I get the download for either of these? Thank you

Hi JC20250806233 , Cadence does not provide the classic free viewer exe anymore. If you want to have the same measure functionality as in classic, you can use the "show measure" command in the free viewer and then you can use right mouse click to find "snap pick to" options.

    command> show measure

How come Cadence has not got the message yet?

The classic viewer is far more user friendly and intuitive than the new one.

Hi NS, in fact we now have. As I reported in one of the other posts. The capitulation has arrived in OrCAD/Allegro tool version 25.1. In this installation, search for "classic" in the folder ../tools/bin and you will now find the viewer now also there. I hope this comes as good news. Somebody is listening!
