Transform Your PCB Design Workflow with Revolutionary Fanout Options

Hey fellow designers, are you tired of wasting hours on manual fanout designs for your surface mount components? Discover the secret to unlocking a massive productivity boost with our expert-approved BGA/QFN fanout options.

Want a quick recap? Dive into our previous discussion on fanout options: community.cadence.com/.../fanout

To get you up to speed, you've got three game-changing fanout configurations to choose from: inward or outward and via in pad. Plus, tailor your fanout to your design's specific direction.

Now, here's the magic trick: duplicate fanouts across similar components in just a few clicks. Imagine creating one fanout for a relay and replicating it across 75 relays in seconds. It's that easy - just use Route > Copy Fanout and select the component with the desired fanout.

Struggling with manual fanouts? Try the Mark option to bind your fanouts to the symbol, making it seamless to move them around. Follow these three easy steps to get started:

Supercharge Your Workflow in 3 Steps:

  1. Head to Route > Convert Fanout > Mark
  2. Enable clines and vias in the Find tab
  3. Select the cline segment and vias to mark them along with the symbol

Unlock the benefits: move the symbol and the marked fanout follows, saving you time and reducing errors.

Want to break the association? Simply use the Unmark option and reverse the operation.

Give these revolutionary features a try and transform your PCB design workflow!

Happy designing, and don't forget to share your own fanout tips in the comments below!
