Tools > Pad > Boundary separator option

Hello,

I have started using the command Tools > Pad > Boundary to edit some padstacks at the board level.

There is an option called Separator and I cannot find what it's purpose is. Could someone explain this ?

It takes 1 character; digit or letter, but I don't see any effect.
