downgrade the design

 Hi all,

  • My current Cadence software version is 24.1.
    I would like to downgrade the design from version 24.1 to 17.4. Is there any possible way to step down the design to an older version?
  • Could you please help me generate a PDF of the board layout file showing only the connectors?

    Hi  . Have you tried the command at File > Export > Downrev design... ? It will allow you save the design in 17.4 format. Please take into account that if you have any features in the design that were introduced after 17.4, you might get some errors. 

    In order to create the PDF of the board layout, create the film with the class/subclass layers that you'd like to see (you can do this in Manufacture > Artwork) and then go to File > Export > PDF to select the film and get the file.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I have already tried the same steps. The conversion was completed successfully, but when I try to open the file, it appears to be empty.

    Could you please guide me on how to properly convert the file?
