Cannot generate ODB++ output for a particular design. The tool fails with eif_cadence-583004 error.

Hi, 

When I try to export ODB++ output for a particular board file, the utility fails with an error dialog box stating "Translation failed! Some required files are missing (eif_cadence-583004)." This happens only for a particular design and I am able to generate ODB++ for all other designs.

    Hi! The only report we have of this error shows this as the solution: 

    The ODB program is case-sensitive when it comes to file extensions.

    In some cases, this error was seen in the design that used .BRD as the extension in the board file name. When the file extension was changed from .BRD to .brd, this error was resolved, and Allegro exported ODB++ data successfully.

    However, in case you don't know, the Export process to ODB++ is not developed by Cadence. This question would be better suited for a Siemens forum. Cadence owns the opposite process (importing ODB++ files).

    This could also be related to True Type Fonts which Cadence introduced at 25.1. If the design has these then currently Siemens ODB++ isn't supporting this. Change the fonts to default line fonts and the design should export as expected.

    I think for True Type font the error code is "eif_cadence-583003".

    Hi,

    also a update regarding to this error code. if your project name content other characters you may also get this error and no odb file will be generated.

    Only lowercase alphanumeric characters,`-`(hyphen) and `_`(underscore) are allowed in project names.
