Copy Layout Missing from OrCAD 25.1

JM20241029170

The copy layout button is missing in OrCAD X Professional Plus Presto 25.1.

As featured in the tutorial video: TrueType Fonts & Copy-Paste Layout Features in OrCAD X 25.1 | EMA Design Automation

Also, the insert->image feature in the Cadence Community forum is broken, just prints "An error occured. Please try again or contact your administrator".

The copy/paste is done by cmd cplay_copy_layout, cplay_paste_layout. I have no idea where these are located in a menu. Further they are only available with a newer/latest hotfix.

It simply creates a mdd file called "copylayout.cplay" which is placed inside \Pcbenv\copylayoutdata\

There are some downsides to this approach; not all elements are ending up in a MDD and you can only 'copy' 1 section. There is no sort of paste buffer to paste a previously certain copied part.
