Request for Allegro Board File to ASCII Conversion Guidance

PK202511125928

Hi Team,

I need to convert an Allegro PCB board file (.brd) into an ASCII format (.alg/ASCII dump) for further processing and review.

Could you please advise on the recommended procedure or share the appropriate utility/tool and command to perform this conversion? If there are any version-specific requirements or scripts that need to be used, please let me know.

I think the only supported file format is IPC2581

You will need to use the Extracta command along with some batch files that Altium provide to be able to do this. Look on their website for this. You'll need an installation of both Allegro (pre 17.4 only) and Altium.
