Has anyone heard of an XML parser for SKILL?

Could you have meant "XML parser written in SKILL"?

If so, googling with keywords "xml parser" && "lisp" yielded some hits on open-source Lisp-based XML parsers. Since SKILL is itself Lisp-based perhaps one of these could be massaged into what you want.

PS - anyone know of a position for a(nother) Cadence guru?

Yeah, my next step is writing my own.  I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to :)

    Thanks, Chris.

    Hi George,

Intersting topic. I have done some work with XML in Skill. Specifically using xml and fop to create pdf documentation from xml data.
I have an Allegro 16.0 beta copy where I see that tech files are now in XML format. This mean I will also need a parser as I use tech files in my Array utility. Let us know how you get on.

    Cheers, Dave

That's what I need the parser for :)

Figured that if I used a standard parser I would be ready for whatever else got changed to XML, too.  I was hoping somebody in the know would include the internal parser they must already be using to manipulate the tech files in the cns SKILL stuff.

    How about it, Frank? :)

Well, I have finished the XML parser.  I have attached it here, along with a PDF map so y'all can find what you are looking for in the hash (association) table.
